MISSION “I LOVE YOU”

“I LOVE YOU”

…That’s the 100^th “I love you” greeting that I’ve said.

…Last Friday evening while I lay calmly on my bed, an idea coming from nowhere appeared on my PUZZLED mind. The idea is to tell 100 people (whether close to me or not) how much I love them by simply saying “I Love you.”

That’s how MISSION “I LOVE YOU” started its way…

My goal on this personal mission is to redefine the meaning of “I Love You” to everyone. I believe “I Love You” should not only be said to your boyfriend, girlfriend nor your significant other…”I Love You’ can also be addressed to your parents, brothers, sisters, relatives, friends, classmates, schoolmates, enemies and even people you do not know. For me "I LOVE YOU" is for everyone who became part of your life and somehow it serve as a motivational cheer.

Well, I started my mission that same night…I call my mum and my dad and started shouting “I LOVE YOU ma, I LOVE YOU pa”…and for me that is RELIEF (two down…98 more people to go!). I continued the mission the following day and continued again until this day.

This is a very nice experience because the first reply I’ve heard was “I LOVE YOU TOO” …that’s very common I know, but during those moment, I feel some self-fulfillment because I didn’t actually expect a reply and I’m kind of hesitant to complete the mission at school…so I thank God because I’ve managed to do it.

Of course, replies are different, some said “why” …and I said “I just simply LOVE YOU,” some said I’m crazy, some just laugh but most of them replied the same words back to me...suddenly I’d realized that sometimes, reasons were not required for you to say “I LOVE YOU” to someone…those three words are like energizers to keep people  going because everyone of us have our own battles to fight everyday and isn’t it nice to hear someone saying that he or she loves you when you least expect it from him or her?...It feels good inside believe me…I think, what makes it sweeter is that people were not used to “me” doing stuff like that, so the mission appears weird…and people started wondering.

What makes me happy is that, I told a girl (she is sitting still on the corridor reading something) that I love her, she was kind of shocked because we do not know each other, but she smiled and then replied “I LOVE YOU TOO”…we’re certainly crazy. LOL

I made a list to see how many of these people will reply “I LOVE YOU”

…so out of 100 people, 59 persons replied “I love you too”

…the rest of the number think that I’m definitely INSANE

I’m very proud of myself because I did complete the mission…with new experiences, a smile on my face and a happy heart…I feel so blessed not because they replied back but because through this little act of mine I’ve influenced others to do the same thing and through my mission… 100 people realized that they are being loved by one Jeepney.

At the end of the mission, I know that I made some people happy and made myself realize that “I LOVE YOU” is more than just words, it can redefine everything--- and that's the mark I left to those people’s HEART.
